Social media personality Emmanuel Jakpa, popularly known as Alavin, has publicly withdrawn allegations he previously made against businessman and influencer Uyi Godson Agho, widely known as Godson.
In a new video statement, Alavin urged the public to ignore the earlier recording that circulated online, stating that it did not accurately reflect the events surrounding the controversy involving Godson.
Alavin Says Previous Video Was Inaccurate
The controversy began after a video recorded by Alavin on June 28, 2026, gained attention online. The clip was linked to allegations surrounding Godson, an associate of Afrobeats star Wizkid.
However, in his latest statement released on Sunday, Alavin reversed his earlier position, saying the information contained in the viral video was false.
According to him, the public should disregard the recording that continues to circulate across social media platforms.
“The content of the video is not true. I hereby make this video as a rejoinder and urge the general public to disregard the earlier video being posted online by one Mr. Richie,” he said.
Alleges Personal Dispute Behind Continued Circulation
Alavin also claimed that the ongoing circulation of the original video was motivated by a separate disagreement involving an individual identified as Richie.
He alleged that Richie’s actions were influenced by an earlier conflict with Godson rather than a genuine attempt to present the facts.
According to Alavin:
“Whatever Richie is posting and saying is out of jealousy and the issue he had previously with Godson.”
He further stressed that his latest statement was made voluntarily and without any pressure.
“I am not making this video under duress. We are all friends.”
Background of the Dispute
The latest development follows Godson’s public denial of allegations that he defrauded social media influencer Clement Akpobome Ogudu, popularly known as IsokoBoy (ISB), of ₦100 million.
Godson maintained that the matter had been wrongly portrayed as fraud, insisting it was a business disagreement linked to a clothing venture reportedly valued at about ₦320 million.
Through a petition submitted by his lawyer, C. C. Ezenwa, Esq., to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Godson also alleged that IsokoBoy, Alavin and others confronted him at his residence, recorded him while he was unclothed, and later shared the footage online alongside claims that he had defrauded his business associate.
The matter continues to attract public attention, although no court ruling has been reported regarding the allegations.
